'Art for Cause' is a capsule collection created in collaboration with WWF-Pakistan to support the phenomenal work being done for the conservation of nature, featuring thought provoking artwork by local artists. A percentage of the proceeds from this collection is donated to WWF-Pakistan.
I have taken my inspiration from a Farsi Couplet by Ameer Khusro which is about Kashmir Valley and it says:
Agar firdaus bar roo-e zameen ast,
Hameen ast-o hameen ast-o hameen ast.
English Translation:
If there is a paradise on earth,
It is this, it is this, it is this
In the canvas of our collective imagination, every religion has often painted a vivid picture of paradise—a realm of beauty, tranquility, and abundance. However, the profound truth lies in the realization that this envisioned paradise is not an otherworldly abstraction but an intricate reflection of our own Mother Nature. My artwork emphasises that the paradise is not a distant myth but resides within the intricate tapestry of nature itself and the very essence of the environment we inhabit. Hence it becomes our sacred duty to protect and preserve the delicate balance that sustains the rich tapestry of life.
